who are we

So, who is the brain of ‘make me cake‘…

The right side of the brain (which would be me, Angi) coordinates the left side of the business, and performs tasks that have do with creativity and the arts. I’m the one with millions of creative ideas in my head. I have to turn them into something and after working with brush and canvas, clay and other malleable materials for many years…I discovered the world of fondant and modelling chocolate a few years ago. I was hooked from the moment I first tried them.

On the other hand, the left hemisphere (which would be m favourite human Mario) is responsible for controlling the right side of the business. It also performs tasks that have to do with logic, such as in science and mathematics. Mario is the one who keeps everything in balance in the business and our adventures. We put our heart and soul into our business because we absolutely love what we do and the bright smile on a customer’s face is our reward.

As a child, I loved to watch my grandmother in the kitchen, and most of all I loved the smell of all the delicious things she had prepared. My grandmother was the one who hosted family gatherings filled with laughter, joy, food and good humour. Since I bake my own cakes, I bake cakes based on my best memories. I love the creative experimentation that goes along with mixing ingredients from old recipes and the design possibilities of today.

I firmly believe that a well-designed cake that fully embodies the personality of the person receiving… it can turn a party into a memory.
And it is precisely for this reason that I started CakeDesign & More in 2014, after years of deepening my skills. I combine my background in art and painting with my recently acquired sugary skills. I strive to create edible art that is not only visually appealing, but also tasteful. I love to participate in all the special occasions in life and look forward to being inspired by your ideas.

Back when my grandma baked, everything was always made from scratch with fresh, natural gourmet ingredients – simply down-to-earth. Today, it’s not so simple anymore. You have to make a choice! And that’s what we have done – in our private lives and of course in our business. We have switched back to healthy organic food. And that makes a huge difference.

And so is every cake – freshly handmade and healthily baked from the finest organic ingredients, if possible from the region. Sweet treats don’t have to be guilt if we follow simple natural, healthy methods.

We believe that we can all make a difference, and if we eat organically, we are not only taking care of ourselves and our families, but also the planet and all the people on it.

Natural, organic baking has meant a huge change in our thinking, not only about the ingredients, but also about the way we bake.
